Why is it named DurkeeSox air dispersion system?

In 1950s and 1960s, the worldwide frozen food industry adopted supply-air outlet made of ordinary cotton fibric, which is shaped like SOCKS and named Socks duct. Since it didn’t consider textile duct permeability and isn’t able to match AC system, the air dispersion effect is bad, having the problems of air holding and short service life, which make the SOCKS duct vanished gradually.

With the development of weaving technology, generate fabric material with better properties of accurate permeability and fire retardant etc. In 1980s and 1990s, the improved SOCKS duct (Fabric air duct) became very popular in various industries. Then fabric air duct is no longer the simple SOCKS bag, but a system product with carefully calculated fabric permeability and precisely designed orifice, which complete a set with AC system to disperse air.

Durkee International Co. in HVAC field also noted the promising prospect of Fabric air duct, invested and established DurkeeSox air system division and successfully introduced Fabric Air Dispersion into China by the end of 2004, named “DurkeeSox Air Dispersion System”.
